chPeople celebrate the season for a lot of different reasons and a lot of different ways. For me, it is truly a celebration of giving because of the important gift that was given so many years ago.

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. This seems to be set in the late first or early second season, but there's no definitive spoilers, though I should warn that this fic is about hunting so there is some animal death ahead, but nothing more than I think we've seen on screen.

Summary: Maybe Merlin's a lot closer to hitting all the targets he's been aiming at than he thought.

Title: Five Times Guinevere Saved Arthur

A/N: I wrote this last summer when I first discovered Merlin and I'm posting as part of my goal to post something random every Thursday. For some reason, I became obsessed with Arthur/Gwen, only because I so wanted to like them together but I knew how the legend turned out. In my random angst, this was one way I dealt with that disparity. Beta'ed by

geminigrl11 . Spoilers for a few eps in S2, namely The Curse of Cornelius Sigan and Sweet Dreams. Also, character death does occur at the end of this fic, but it's very much in the future.

Summary: Her heart fluttered, the adrenaline coursing through her. To almost die was one thing; to save the man so many dreamed of was entirely another. To protect the future of Camelot, was more than she could ever hope to aspire to.

Title: In the Name of Faeries (aka The Ongoing Adventures of Gwaine)

A/N: LOL. What can I say? I have some other Merlin fic that I’ve simply never polished to post, so why on earth is this the one that I finally put up? I have no idea, except that sometimes I like writing silly, pointless things, and Gwaine is wonderful for both. Because honestly, he’s Gwaine. Thanks goes to

geminigrl11 for prompting this and giving it a small beta :) Any mistakes are my own. There are no spoilers for anything in particular, but obviously this uses a character introduced in S3 in an ep that hasn't aired in the US yet.

Summary: Gwaine wants a beer, but if he ends up impersonating a faerie king representing the cause of leprechauns to enjoy it, then that’s perfectly acceptable for him.
