A/N:  This is the latest of my drabble series for hawaii_5_0_100 .  The prompt this week was jellyfish, which threw me for a moment, and then I sat down and wrote this :)  I’m not sure how many more fics will come after this one, but I’m going to let my muse run its course and I don’t think it has quite yet :)  And if anyone has any requests for what they'd like to see, I'm open to that, too.  Much thanks to moogsthewriter  for the beta--her comments really helped with the clarity and impact.  Also thanks go geminigrl11  for one last read, even jetlagged as she was.

Summary:  Steve’s had his eyes on the prize for so long that he never saw the simple dangers that lurked just beneath the surface.
