Primeval drabble: Life Goes On (Kept drabble verse)
Title: Life Goes On

A/N: Okay, so THIS is the last part of the Kept drabble verse. (Except for the Cutter alternate POV that Iâm totally not going to write.) Thank you to everyone who has read this unending series and taken the time to comment. It has been awesome! Thanks :)
Summary: Stephen made amends.

Life went on.
Stephen made amends; he righted wrongs. He helped Connor woo Abby; he helped Lester unearth Helenâs motives; he spent every waking moment trying to be worthy of Cutterâs companionship.
Sometimes he still woke, sweat-soaked and terrified of a future that might not exist. He kept a blade on him whenever possible, expecting Helen lurking around the corner.
It was hard and complicated, but it still felt like gluttony to Stephen. To have his friends, to be a part of the team, to fight the good fight like heâd always wanted to.
And life finally just went on.
