A/N: Okay, so THIS is the last part of the Kept drabble verse. (Except for the Cutter alternate POV that I’m totally not going to write.) Thank you to everyone who has read this unending series and taken the time to comment. It has been awesome! Thanks :)

Summary: Stephen made amends.

Life went on.

Stephen made amends; he righted wrongs. He helped Connor woo Abby; he helped Lester unearth Helen’s motives; he spent every waking moment trying to be worthy of Cutter’s companionship.

Sometimes he still woke, sweat-soaked and terrified of a future that might not exist. He kept a blade on him whenever possible, expecting Helen lurking around the corner.

It was hard and complicated, but it still felt like gluttony to Stephen. To have his friends, to be a part of the team, to fight the good fight like he’d always wanted to.

And life finally just went on.

Poor Stephen carrying that knife all the time... But I'm glad that he still felt happy and could keep going, and I'm sure that Cutter let him know that he WAS worthy.

I love these thoughts and this future of Stephen's was what should have been. Life should have been this way for him not how it ended on the show.
