Firsts and Lasts

There's so many firsts.

The first time he realized kids had mothers, families stayed put. The first time he realized his father lied.

Some are better than others. His first rebellion, his first dream of more.

Then, his first real steps by himself: his first days at college, starting to figure out who he was.

His first love, his first loss. His first choice to hunt.

His first death.

After, it's like deja vu, watching his life fall apart again.

Because Dean's only got a year, and Sam has to stop that, even if it's the last thing he does.
