Primeval drabble: The Price (Kept verse)
Title: The Price

A/N: The next in my Kept Drabble Verse. Though really,
lena7142 did just as much work on these 100 words as I did.
Summary: Everything’s for sale; it’s just a matter of price.

Helen brought him to a new, soft-lit room, with good food and candles.
A date.
Helen had ruined Stephen’s life. Now, she laughed at his jokes like he was still some star-struck undergrad.
“I’ve missed this,” she purred.
He raised his eyebrows. “Is that why you let me die?”
“No, that’s why I saved you,” she countered, eyes narrowing. “Now I need your help.”
“You think I’ll help?” Stephen asked.
“I think you owe me.”
“I’m not for sale.”
“Everything’s for sale, Stephen,” Helen said, her smile sultry as her fingers brushed his hand. “It’s just a matter of price.”
